Jean David Nkot was born in 1985 in Douala (Cameroon) where he lives and works. Preoccupied by human condition, violence, and the indifference and passivity of the international community and governments on the situation of victims around the world. Very inspired by the topic of immigration, bodies, and territories are structuring his artistic approach.
His new series "The Shadows of Space" questions the identity of people in exile, focusing on human condition and approaching this matter throughout the topic of immigration. Maps, bodies, faces, roads and everyday life objects featured in his works metaphorically embody a society, weakened by fear and the desire of control.
See you in Marrakech!
