ART GENÈVE ART FAIR 2021
If the Art Genève art fair -that was supposed to take place from May 17th to 20th- has been cancelled, we are thrilled to unveil our selection. In addition to the solo show of Cristiano Mangovo, discover a group presentation featuring works by Sejiro Avoseh, Moustapha Baidi Oumarou, Saïdou Dicko and Omar Mahfoudi.
With Humano e a natureza, Cristiano Mangovo (b. 1982, Angola)
reestablishes a harmony between man and nature. The beings arising under his brushes gather in a joyful and surprising chain. This festive and lively movement suggests renewal and change.

Using the same silhouettes and the same motifs, Saïdou Dicko (b. 1970, Burkina Faso) questions time, space and identity. Transformed into shadows, his characters roam the world. The artist documents the present and imagines the future. The shadows that spring under his hands take over all temporality. Yesterday, today and tomorrow belong to them. They are the change.
Intriguing, the phantasmagorical bodies featured in the work of Omar Mahfoudi (b.1981, Morocco), are immersed in an unknown environment. There is a call to nature emerging from the paper. That is a call to come back to the origin of the world, to rethink the universe facing its instability. Behind his art, an ecological consciousness arises.
