SCREENING OF TWO FILMS BY SAÏDOU DICKO, SATURDAY, 6 JANUARY AT 4 PM AND 5 PM
In the framework of Saïdou Dicko's solo show at the gallery, we are delighted to announce the screening of two of his films – Le petit berger and Gariibu. Two screenings will be organised throughout the day. One at 4 PM and the other one at 5 PM. The artist will be present and will welcome you around a cup of warm tea.
Le petit berger (2011) mirrors Saïdou Dicko's personal life story at a time when he was a shepherd. The audience follows him through the desert, uncovering he genesis of his work around shadows.
Gariibu (2008) ('beggar' in Fulfulde language) captures a moment of complicity between Dicko and three young beggars. Through these images, the artist wanted to show the reality of these children: "They are children like any others. They laugh, they play and they are happy despite the very hard life they lead."
No RSVP needed
