Film Screening & Debate: A Buakama

FILM SCREENING & DEBATE | ‘A BUAKAMA’ | SATURDAY, 14 SEPTEMBER - 4 PM

In the framework of Géraldine Tobe’s solo exhibition Dans la fumée, we are delighted to host on Saturday 14 September, a film screening and debate of Jeanpy Kabongo’s documentary “A Buakama”. This short movie, whose title means “the rejected” focusses on the marginalisation and stigmatisation of people suffering from mental diseases in Congo. Following Tobe’s initiative 'LOSA', it sheds light on art therapy and how art allow the patients to exteriors their inner thoughts and pains.

The screening will be followed by a debate with the artist and the film director. The film and debate will be held in French.

Duration of the movie: 1 hour
