In the framework of Nasreddine Bennacer's solo show Je remonte la trace de mes pas, the gallery hosts a contemporary dance performance by dancers from Garnier Opera Florian Astraudo and Gaétan Vermeulen on a live set by Yunis, on Thursday, 30 March from 8 to 10 PM.

Yunis  is an Egyptian experimental producer based between Paris and the western Delta province of Kafr El-Dauwar. A self-taught musician, YUNIS has developed deep interest and extended research in traditional/trance music and rituals. As an active member of his community, he co-founded Kafr ElDauwar Records (KDR), an independent digital record label working to nurture, support and release his hometown’s contemporary and experimental music, who struggle to find artistic and cultural support in the region. Owner of poignant production style and a proficient live performer, YUNIS has toured extensively across Europe and has been artist-in-residence at the prestigious Nyege Nyege label from Kampala, Uganda, and at Cité Internationale des Arts, in Paris, France, where he’s been developing a crossdisciplinary project with dancers. In his working method, he values an approach of cross-pollination, syncretism, and experimentation.

Florian Astraudo's fields of research are dance, photography and music. He obtained his National Diploma of Professional Dancer at the Paris Opera School of Dance and then worked in the Paris Opera Company for two years. He trained in contemporary dance and performance art in Portugal where he broadened his spectrum of movement mastery.

Gaétan Vermeulen is a dancer. He studied at the Paris Opera dance school from the age of 10 until he was 17, when he obtained his national professional dance diploma.
